When is tartar removal recommended?
Dentists and hygienists recommend that those who for some reason are prone to tartar formation - there may be various reasons behind this, such as genetic characteristics, neglect of oral care, smoking, malnutrition, diabetes, pregnancy — even remove deposits every 3 months. For most people, this interval ranges from 6 to 12 months.
For those who are only minimally predisposed to tartar formation, it is enough to visit a specialist once every one to two years. Keep an eye on the condition of your teeth, and as soon as you notice the formation of tartar, take the necessary measures to preserve the integrity of your teeth for as long as possible.
Regular removal of tartar, like brushing teeth, is a basic element of healthy oral hygiene, as the formation of tartar can lead not only to aesthetic problems, but also to many more serious diseases.
With regular hygienic treatment and removal of tartar, we can prevent or eliminate the following dental diseases:
- Gingivitis
- Dental decay
- Discoloration of teeth
- Unpleasant, bad breath
- Mobility and tooth loss
- Bleeding gums
- Damage to healthy teeth
- Periodontal diseases
How does professional tartar removal work here?
In our office, an ultrasonic depuration device is used to remove tartar. It carefully but effectively copes with the removal of tartar. Then polishing is carried out, due to which the surface of the teeth becomes less scratchy, and plaque is more difficult to retain on it.
If desired, solo polishing is also performed, which helps to restore whiteness to discolored teeth without chemical exposure. Here we are not talking about chemical bleaching, but about the gentle removal of deposited colored substances.
Of course, in order to maintain the result, we cannot ignore the issue of the correct quality and quantity of brushing, as this helps to remove plaque from teeth and prevent subsequent dental problems.
We recommend it to everyone who wants to have healthy teeth:
- Fast and efficient
- Painless
- Impressive result, whiter teeth
- Improvement of well-being
- Fresh breath
Did you know?
It often happens that people hold their toothbrush incorrectly while brushing or use the wrong head. This eventually leads to sensitivity of the neck of the tooth and gums, as well as to their abrasion.
To avoid this, at the end of the treatment, our dental hygienist will individually tell you about the correct dental care methods and, if necessary, show you the effective use of a toothbrush, dental floss and irrigator.
